“The only journey is the journey within.” — Rainer Maria Rilke.

Mental health is no joke. It is present and prevalent. Mental health has no proper definition, but it is mainly known as your emotional wellbeing.

Mental health is a very important subject to talk upon as it has been stigmatized a lot. Many people are hesitant to go to a therapist if they need help, because society will call them crazy.October 10th is universally known as the World Mental Health Day, International day for global inner health education, cognizance, and policy advocacy. The overall objective of World Mental Health Day is to raise knowledge of mental health issues around the world and to marshal expenditures in support of internal health. The Day provides a chance to all stakeholders working on inner health issues to talk about their work, and what additional requisites to be done to make cerebral health care a reality for people worldwide. Mental health is as important, some might even claim it is more important than your physical health. Ground work shows a link between an upbeat intellectual state and physical signs of good health. These include lower blood pressure, reduced risk of heart disease, and more.

As the world changes, so do other factors. The decline of mental health is evident, yet the stigma remains. Mental health slur refers to societal displeasure, or when society places shame on people who live with a mental illness or seek help for emotional anguish, resembling anxiety, depression, bipolar ailment, or PTSD. It is often presumed that people go to therapists when they are mad or when their head is not right. But that is not so true. Mental disorders come in all forms. Depression is not only sitting alone in your room and never socializing. That friend who is always smiling, can also have depression. That over-achiever in your class, who you call a nerd, could be suffering from a mental health disorder. Nobody knows what war another is battling inside themselves, many cover it with a smile and some just give up, with suicide. Destigmatising treatment for mental health disorders is important and needs to be done on an urgent basis. Many people feel like going to a therapist makes them weak or low, but in reality, it just means that they are human.

According to World health , people suffering from psychological health illness are constantly exposed to violations of mortal rights, smirch, and discreteness.

Mental health cannot be ‘solved’, It can only gradually improve over a period of time. Some steps that help one to improve their mental health condition can be to be aware of your emotions and reactions, so that you can address those issues and try to change the way you react. Another one is to express yourself. Don’t hide your smile, if something is bothering you speak up, talk to a trusted friend, a family member, or a councillor. Strive for balance in all aspects of your life and manage your eating habits. Getting quality sleep is also crucial, as this allows your brain to relax and gives it some time to calm down and not get jittery with nervousness or stress. None of this will be easy at first, but that effort will lead to a beautiful and much more rich future. A very important aspect would also be real life connection. Connect with the people around you, not over social media. Sit with your family for a while, talk to them at least 30 minutes a day. And always remember, maybe the person right next to you might be going through a mental disorder, so try to help people out if you yourself are not going through anything. Be that helping hand that people need.
